There are a lot of festivals and activities that happen during the summer and especially during the weekend of Canada Day
We headed off to a festival called "The Works" which is happening all around town in different sections. The program is online and available for you to download or head to central downtown for all the information, live music, really neat art displays and this year they had a furniture contest (which you had to mold from wood)
One of the really neat things I thought were a couple cars that were parked in the between the food stands and the entrance to the main stage...I found it odd that they would leave a couple old cars in the middle of the way....as I walked closer I figured out why.
I first noticed the odd roof they had...there were holes in the roof and as I walked closer, they were filled up to the tip of the window with soil and the entire car was full of plants. It was such a neat concept...I couldn't imagine how long it took them to finish this project...and how they transported those cars there...I'd imagine a uhaul or trailer of sorts.
